According to Sports Kyunghyang, on September 24, 2026 (local time) Presidents Lee Jae‑myung and Claudia Sheinbaum discussed creating a ‘K‑Culture Center’ in Mexico City designed to host K‑pop performances alongside broader Korean cultural experiences, and agreed to pursue its establishment. South Korea’s National Security Office said the center would enable K‑pop performances and combined K‑culture programs, but site, budget, venue size and operator remain undecided. Park Jin‑young, attending as co‑chair of the Popular Culture Exchange Committee, proposed bilateral cooperation on local performance facilities and previously outlined a plan for ~20,000‑seat combined venues in July.
